Among all the companies, we, Baiersbronn Frischfaser Karton GmbH, also offered future trainees the opportunity to find out about the apprenticeships on offer: paper technologist (m/f/d), electronics technician for automation technology (m/f/d), industrial mechanic (m/f/d) and industrial clerk (m/f/d). Appointments could be booked in advance by interested parties. What to expect at the apprentice speed dating and how to behave there was prepared in advance for the prospective school leavers and school-leavers from grade eight in their schools. The interested parties each had ten minutes to introduce themselves personally and to have a ten-minute interview with us.
We had the opportunity to answer questions about our apprenticeships, their processes as well as our products and company history. Furthermore, we were able to approach the students in an unbiased manner, as we were only informed of their names shortly before the start of the event. After all, the first impression should decide on a possible common professional future.

For our plants, a continuous supply of energy is hugely important, especially to meet the delivery obligations to our customers. In the current energy situation, it is therefore important to be able to switch energy sources when necessary. Therefore, in December, at our plant in Baiersbronn (GER) our new low-pressure steam generator was brought in.

This reserve boiler can be fired with oil or gas. Our operational safety has thus been improved.
