ESG & Sustainability Coordinator (m/f/d)

Purpose of the Position:
The ESG & Sustainability Coordinator (m/f/d) is responsible for the company-wide coordination, further development and implementation of sustainability and ESG initiatives at FOLBB. This role supports the integration of ESG goals into business processes, ensures internal and external reporting, and supports projects aimed at improving the company’s environmental and social performance.

Responsibilities
- ESG Strategy & Governance
- Coordinate and further develop the ESG/sustainability strategy in alignment with the management and relevant departments
- Define and align ESG goals and KPIs
- Develop internal policies and processes to meet ESG requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments (e.g. CSRD, ESRS, supply chain directives) and derive necessary actions
- ESG Data Management & Reporting
- Build and maintain an internal ESG data structure
- Collect, prepare, and analyse relevant ESG metrics (e.g. energy consumption, emissions, raw material usage)
- Create and maintain sustainability reports in line with common standards (e.g. ESRS/CSRD, EcoVadis, GRI)
- Prepare presentations and documents for management, investors, customers, or authorities
- Calculate CO₂ emissions at both business unit and product level
- Action Planning & Project Implementation
- Identify and prioritise sustainability projects (e.g. CO₂ reduction, circular economy, energy efficiency)
- Coordinate and monitor actions across purchasing, production, engineering, logistics, HR, and other interfaces
- Support the planning and implementation of certifications (FSC/PEFC, EcoVadis, ISO)
- Develop recommendations and decision-making templates for senior management
- Communication & Training
- Support external ESG communications via marketing, website, brochures, and social media
- Respond to ESG-specific customer inquiries and questionnaires
- Develop training and awareness formats for employees
- Actively contribute to establishing and anchoring a sustainability-oriented corporate culture
- External Collaboration
- Maintain relationships with certification bodies, industry associations, and networks
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, or ESG-related industry events
- Conduct or support supplier audits
Organizationl Position
- Reporting line: Management / CFO

- Close cooperation with departments such as Environmental/Quality Management, Procurement, Engineering, Production, HR
- External partners (consultants, auditors, certification bodies)

Requirements Profil
Must-have criteria
- Strong interest and motivation for sustainability and ESG
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Initiative and reliability
- Fluent in German and/or Dutch, with good English skills (cross-site collaboration required)
- Willingness to travel
Nice-to-have criteria
- Initial practical experience in sustainability, environmental management, CSR or related topics
- Familiarity with ESG reporting standards (e.g. EcoVadis, CSRD/ESRS, GRI)
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or consulting environments
- Completed studies or vocational training in environmental management, sustainability, business administration, engineering or similar (preferred but not mandatory)
